Maple syrup and sugar is an excellent alternative to cane sugar as a sweetener or for use in baking.

Why use pure maple?

Because its 100% all natural and delicious. Pure maple syrup is made simply by boiling sap which is harmlessly removed from the sugar maple tree. Boiling simply removes water, thus concentrating the natural sugar present in the sap. Nothing is added to reach the characteristic golden brown color and rich flavor. Its all built in.

When baking with pure maple products:

Pure maple syrup or granular sugar can replace cane sugar in most any recipe. Pure Maple Syrup is slightly sweeter than cane sugar. It contains 62 cal. per tbsp. as opposed to 54 cal. per tbsp. of cane sugar but you use less Maple Syrup. Substitute 3/4 c Maple Syrup for each cup of sugar and reduce liquid ingredients by 3 tbsp.
